Vietnam International Furniture Association Fair, VIFA 2023, was held from Wednesday, 8 March 2023 to Saturday, 11 March 2023 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Sourcebynet Vietnam participated in the event with an 81m2 booth divided into three sections featuring Disney Home, Outdoor, and Indoor collections. The booth had a more mellow and ambient design compared to the 2022 fair. It featured key strategic statements from the Design4Life strategy, emphasising conscious design and responsible sourcing.
Sourcebynet designed and constructed, with their fit-out partner, a wooden structure for their booth. The structure will be reusable for further fairs and is modular so additions can be made in the future. Thanks to the reusable structure, for the next three exhibitions, we will save 668kg of CO2 and 405kg of material. This action aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No.13: Climate Action and No.12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
FSC APAC
Sourcebynet also partnered with FSC APAC and hosted them at the booth.
All marketing collateral related to Forests For All Forever was displayed, and the FSC x UNREDD Sustainable Tropical Timber Trade Network was promoted, of which Sourcebynet is a founding member.
Disney Home collection
The Disney Home collection stole the show at VIFA 2023, drawing in over 60% of visitors to the Sourcebynet booth. Crafted with precision, the collection features licensed products from both China and Vietnam, all adorned with the iconic Disney logo. The Sourcebynet UK team designed the Disney Home section to perfectly complement the rest of the booth, seamlessly blending in with the overall aesthetic.
The impact of the Disney Home collection was so impressive that several markets requested further information on the products, with orders expected imminently. It’s clear that the exceptional quality and attention to detail of the Disney Home collection played a significant role in its resounding success at VIFA 2023.
Cork Sofa
At the VIFA 2023 event, the Sourcebynet booth showcased an impressive range of products that drew attention from visitors across the globe.
One of the key products on display was the Cork Sofa, which featured beautiful FSC certified Cork Fabric that was upholstered onto the new Ruya sofa chair. The contemporary design of the chair caught the eye of several customers, who appreciated the sustainable and stylish aspect of the product.
Bamboo Products
Another highlight of the booth was the Bamboo Products section, which featured several items including the Chopstick table and Work From Home Desk using Chinese Bamboo. The Kyoto Sofa Tables, crafted in Vietnam and designed in collaboration with leading UK sustainable designer Sean Fairman, were also on display.

Kyoto Sofa Tables
Koyoto knock down sofas
The Sourcebynet booth also showcased the Koyoto knock down sofas, which boasted impeccable loading due to the knock-down construction. The sofas were nicely finished with beige upholstery, adding to their elegant look and feel.
Clip hardware system
In addition, the booth featured the Clip hardware system, which had a beautiful veneer with natural rattan detailing.
The frame of the product was easily assembled and disassembled with end of life-cycle in mind, making it an excellent example of conscious design and responsible sourcing.
