We are pleased and proud to announce that Sourcebynet has achieved full Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification for Singapore Head office.
This is a major milestone in our continuous efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of providing environmental friendly products.
The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) is a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in finished final products. GRS’ goal is to increase the use of recycled materials in products and reduce or eliminate the harm to people and the environment resulting from its production. It is intended for use with any product that contains at least 20% GRS certified recycled material – final products carrying the GRS logo must contain at least 50%.
The GRS is designed to meet the needs of companies that want to verify the recycled content of their products (both finished and intermediate) as well as verifying responsible social, environmental, and chemical practices in their production.
The Chain of Custody (CoC) requires each stage of production to be certified, beginning at the recycling stage through to the final transaction. Material collection and material concentration sites are subject to self-declaration, document collection and on-site visits.

Apart from GRS label guaranteeing the use of recycled textiles, it requires all parties along the supply chain to comply with environmental and social/ ethical due diligence as shown below:

- A high percentage of recycled content in products
- Recycled materials
- Traceability
- Transparent communication
- Stakeholder involvement
- CCS (Content Claim Standard) compliance
Although the GRS is owned by Textile Exchange, the range of products is not limited to textiles and can include any type of product containing recycled content materials. It provides brands with a tool for more accurate labelling, encouraging innovation in the use of reclaimed materials, promoting transparency in the supply chain and provide better information to consumers.
